About the position

We are seeking a dynamic, polished, detail-oriented Account Manager to join our team.   This role requires a unique blend of client and project management skills, as well as financial discipline. You will serve as the client-liaison and internal project management lead to ensure flawless project execution.  

Focus will be on building, maintaining, and nurturing long-term relationships with clients, ensuring client needs are met, identifying opportunities for growth, and aligning FSi’s solutions to client business objectives. As the Account Manager, you will leverage your 2-5 years of account or project management experience to act as the primary point of contact to drive customer satisfaction, retention, and revenue growth.

This role is ideal for an individual who is passionate about being client-facing, is highly organized and can step back and see the big picture.  Someone with initiative and flexibility to support the organization cross-functionally, and who is looking for a fast-paced yet supportive environment.  

The role also offers meaningful growth potential for individuals looking to deepen their client leadership and commercial management skills within a strategic consulting setting.

Responsibilities & Duties

Account Management

You are the primary point of contact and trusted partner to your clients.

  • Develop and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with clients
  • Lead regular client and internal touchpoints and status meetings to understand client needs and objectives, align on progress, and address concerns
  • Ensure client questions and requests are addressed promptly, thoroughly, and professionally
  • Advocate for client needs internally while protecting project scope
  • Proactively identify opportunities to deepen partnerships and grow revenue
  • Anticipate client needs, flag potential risks early and resolve any issues proactively and effectively

Project Management

You ensure seamless project execution from proposal through delivery and closeout and protect the profitability of each project through disciplined financial management.  

  1. Support the Business Development function during proposal development by creating accurate and optimized costings, working with recruitment partners to assess feasibility and costs, and support proposal writing.  
  2. Provide end-to-end project management on live projects:
    • Manages recruitment providers to ensure project needs are met on a timely and cost-effective basis.  
    • Develop project screeners and manage fieldwork planning, recruitment, and execution
    • Lead internal project kickoff and weekly project status meetings
    • Ensures all project timelines and milestones are agreed on and booked on calendars (internal and external)
    • Ensures the team proactively manages changing timelines accordingly (e.g. booking designers)
    • Escalates issues during the project that may impede project delivery and coordinates solutions.   
    • Collaborate with other Project Managers and the larger cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and innovation
    • Understand and adhere to all compliance rules and guidelines
  3. Project Financial Management
    • Monitor project profitability throughout the lifecycle by tracking budgets and expenses
    • Identify and address budget or scope risks early to protect project profitability
    • Maintain accurate tracking of quotes, invoices, expenses and forecasts
    • Conduct thorough project close-outs, including actual vs budget reconciliations
    • Ensure disciplined adherence to all financial processes and controls

Experience & Qualifications

Experience

  • 2–5 years of experience in account management, project management, consulting, healthcare, or related environments
  • Experience coordinating multiple stakeholders and timelines
  • Exposure to budgeting or financial tracking processes
  • Healthcare or pharmaceutical experience is a plus, but not required

Requirements

  • Legal authorization to work in Canada, without sponsorship.
  • Education minimum: high school or CAEC (College or University is an asset)
  • Clear background check: Criminal, US Exclusions Database, US Denied Persons List, and EU, UK, and UN Sanctions List.

  • Assist colleagues outside of the current project you are working on (e.g., proposal development, brainstorms, thought leadership, etc.).
